The only downside is that you dont get colored mana, so you are restricted on the spells you are able to cast

Yeah - the game had potential but was a big belly flop for me - no balance back in the day and you were really hard strapped to use cash to keep up already during set one and now we are getting so much stuff each time, you can't keep up

So there's a lot of ways to build around this, even just a generic Jeskai deck with a lot of exile to play instead of draw to generate value

Also worth considering are Big Score and Seize the Spoils, which come with Treasure tokens
