It could have been Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation or Parallel Lives, but I felt there were quite a few +1/+1 counter cards in the deck, like Felidar Retreat, Taurean Mauler, Lion Sash and the newly added Tesak, Judiths Hellhound that made me pick Doubling Season instead
Neither Gatebreaker Ram nor Gate Colossus has enters-the-battlefield triggers, so our removal lines up perfectly and they eventually run out of resources when these threats are dealt with
Its a little steep at 6 mana for 1v1 formats, but some control players manage it if they combine it with Riverchurn Monument
Its claim to fame is the ability to create lots of tiny little dragon faeries
But it also runs plenty of hand disruption, which should ensure you can stop your play pattern from getting messed up
