She also pairs very nicely with damage doublers

6 defense makes her resilient in play, hopefully allowing for some solid lore generation before any opponents manage to take her off the table

Exiling two target permanents (any permanents) is a nice way to turn a game around, and even if your opponent can keep chumping it, Ulamog will just mill them out in a couple of swings, anyway

With that said, Gixian PuppeteerGixian Puppeteer is a good card by itself, which makes it at least worth consideration, especially since we're a life-gain deck anyhow
