Telaglenastat selectively and irreversibly inhibits glutaminase. By blocking glutamine utilization, proliferation in rapidly growing cells is impaired. Glutamine dependent tumors rely on the conversion of exogenous glutamine into glutamate and glutamate metabolites to both provide energy and generate building blocks for the
