On the Left Side the Gluteus Maximus Muscle has been removed entirely and a small portion has been cut away from the margin of the Gluteus Medius. On the Right Side an opening has been cut into the Gluteus Maximus so as to expose the under lying structures. This anatomy plate print was taken directly from the 19th century book Henke's Atlas
