Old repairs to one arm support and I reset/strengthened the leg joints with dowels and hide glue to replace the modern screws that had been used

The original black paint is in good order

Both have a back wedge or tailpiece with 2 extra supporting spindles

and some splits mostly to the bottom shelf

And the elegant elm seat with detail in the edging - not just a thick slab of elm

Circus Old repairs to one armA good, heavy, early 20th century brass standard lamp, with adjustable angle bulb holder, telescopic top half (see photos) and dolphin like motif at the top. Comes with a very pretty shade that looks original. Very good condition, just the expected wear and tear for its age. The shade could possibly do with a gentle clean, but looks perfectly at home as is. Works but not PAT tested. (I can rewire the lamp and get it professionally PAT tested before
