The rod is in excellent condition. All sections are full length and straight. The second tip was made at a later date and is noticeably lighter in color and roughly the same taper, though not as precise as the original Powell taper, measuring + . 003" . 010" (measurements were taken with a Starrett micrometer on the same 6" stations on both tips).
