Jan Petersons paintings explore the patterns and rhythms of the oceans shorelines using one of its raw materials, sand. He uses natural sands collected from beaches throughout the world to create images that allow us to touch in with a part of the earth, to enjoy and remember the beauty, serenity, color and textures of the ocean and its inhabitants.
