Its primary job is making Treasures to ramp us into Push the Limit, but if we're light on Vehicles we can use it to draw cards to find them (drawing two when we cycle is super powerful) and if our graveyard gets locked down we can can use the drain mode to try to win the game

This card has actually been competitive since it gives card advantage by acting as removal while giving you a creature too, but I think its fallen by the wayside mainly because its too expensive, and its cost is a bit awkward
