A textured checkerboard motif is created with the weft floats weaving technique using two complimentary coloured threads. The first of the triple toned series is the brown and white pattern woven out of endemic Tuban brown cotton. Native to the Tuban region, kapas lowo or brown cotton takes a year to harvest, sometimes longer. The slow life cycle
