AoE damage is usually good but this card is a bit pricy and has the drawback of having to choose what kind of AoE damage you deal
Again, the many looting and rummage effects in the deck, as well as some nice modular cards, ensure that the deck remains consistent and doesn't suffer dead cards in hand as control red decks in the past have done
You have cards that make lots of Vampire tokens (like March of the Canonized, Mavren Fein, Charismatc Conqueror, and Sorin), cards that make Vampires bigger (like Legion Lieutenant, Etchings of the Chosen, and Radiant Destiny), as well as cards to keep your Vampires in play (like Timothar, Kindred Boon, and Dusk Legion Lieutenant)
With a Winter Orb or Stasis in play, you can attack with a small flier and untap your own land, giving you access to mana while everyone else is frozen
