Japanese Box - Cherry, Walnut and Maple Quartz She lives in a small8. 75 L x 4. 75W x 3. 5 Deep Artist: Bill Smithers Master woodworker and furniture maker Bill Smithers has fashioned this traditional Japanese tool box out of mixed hardwoods. The locking device is a tapered wedge which fits in the slot on the top of the box. When the wedge is removed, the lid then slides to open the box.
