Signed on the plate cap vendor and the most famous ventriloquistAn original colour lithograph on woven paper by Andre Masson (1896 1988), a leading surrealist painter. The lithograph is signed in the plate on lower left (not by hand). Size: approx. 14" x 10. 25" 'The Sun' was commissioned by Verve, a deluxe art review that showcased original prints of leading artists at that time. Verve had a limited edition run (only 1200 published). This lithograph was published in Volume 1, No. 2 of Revue Verve, 1938.
