It opens with raspberry, blackberry, cherry and cedar, then moves into bramble, tobacco, liquorice, smoke and a touch of vanilla. There is plenty of Wairarapa richness here, but it is held in a neat, focused line. On the palate, the fruit is darkly fruited and polished, with juicy berry depth, seasoned oak spice and
