We're looking across the river, right along Spencer Street to the north. The Spencer Street Bridge, to connect with Clarendon Street, was not built till 1930. The panorama takes in a very wide view from Hobson's Bay in the west, to the spires of Scots' and the Independent Churches in the east. This part of the Yarra was very busy with large ships,
