19th Century Portrait Of A Gentleman 19th Century Seat height: 44A 19th century portrait of a gentleman housed in a gilt wood frame. The portrait depicts a seated gentleman in a brown suit and red neckerchief resting upon a table with an upturned top hat and stick within it. The work is naively done with an intriguing sitter full of character. The frame has many historic repairs evident, each corner having been previously repaired with some form of putty (please see photographs). Various losses throughout to the
