A very nice untouched French oak 'nuns' chair from the 1600s
these are extremely minor and far better than all the other bentwood chairs I've seen

Tilt top table Height to top of backI particularly like the almost neutral palette of this oil on canvas, along with the large scale, the atmospheric shadow and light, and how the peaches, jug and copper pot sit together. Signed "S Gaudin" bottom right, which I'm told is probably Simone Gaudin, born 1902.
