Sarracenia oreophila Potted Size:X-Large let the winds of changeSarracenia oreophila is nearly extinct in the wild. It looks similar to Sarracenia flava, producing most of its pitchers in spring and going dormant in late summer. Pitchers are tall and stately, usually green, but many clones have strong red venation. Sarracenia oreophila is a species with a greater tolerance for cold. One of the funny, quirky qualities of oreophila is that its pitchers can wrinkly in summer, giving it a very unusual appearance!
