I like this one quite a lot, and it might replace a protection spell in my non-Sunforger builds particularly in decks like Nahiri or Eivor that want you to max-out on equipment

Not every mythic rare or rare in an MTG set is valuable

Ill let that one marinate for now, but suffice to say, though I think the Gift mechanic overall is well balanced and offers room for fun when it comes to Commander politics, I am wary of seeing more of this mechanic on Made-for-Commander cards or just ones that will outmode other options in the Commander card pool
