In short this manifold is for replacing Early 1990's MerCruiser 4cyl Engines with shift bracket mounted to the valve cover

with MerCruiser 140hp models with the shift components mounted to the cover (like they are pictured here) Hard to mistake this type of valve cover for the other ones without these components on top but it is best to just match the casting on your current valve cover or look at the shift arm type
