They dont have to be token decks, but its hard to reach critical mass of creatures without doing some sort of token shenanigans

It prevents spells from going on the stack, thus preventing players from casting spells, but it doesnt interact with anything thats already on the stack before it resolves

If your deck has other 'prevent damage' cards, this creature can get really big every time someone attacks you, or act as a deterrent for you to be attacked
