This material was custom grown for us in an attempt to make an ultra bright cerium yag formulation. Our first one succeeded, but subsequent ones have had an odd result, instead showing normal (exceptional) brightness but an orange fluorescence rather than greenish yellow. These stones are still very beautiful though, and their unusual orange fluorescence gives them a unique look.
