Newfoundland 1861-64 1s rose-lake on hand-made paper, SG23 Australian States stamps Not very rare but aCanada (Newfoundland) 1861 64 1s rose lake on hand made paper, complete sheet of 20 (5x4), SG23. An attractive mint entire sheet with original gum (the stamps are unmounted mint). Marginal crease at upper left, and trivial soiling at top and left edges, which does not detract from what is a lovely and rare piece. Only 1,250 sheets were printed, of which 703 were remaindered, but only a small proportion now survive in fine condition. Quite an exception
