It's a really interesting design, it's a stiffly suspended deck where unusually the motor (which IIRC is AC) is mounted to the sub chassis, so it moves with the arm and platter when bounced. The design aim for this type of construction is to reduce dynamic speed variations that can be experienced from more conventionally suspended decks, whilst still
