It is a great site for the southern Italian varieties where the warm and dry days are tempered by the cooler nights. Regardless of the vintage conditions Fiano keeps a wickedly varietal character of chalky minerality, coupled with a lemon pith bitter almond grip on the finish, making a tantalizingly textured palate and savoury finish.
