Berton Vineyards 'Al Fresco' Barbera 12.5% 75cl Amarone Scallywag is a Small BatchLight cherry red in colour, the nose shows an exciting melange of fragrant cherry, subtle spice and red florals. A modest body showcases blue plum, blood orange peel and cherry wood which slips into a soft crisp finish with subtle lingering spice. Stylistically, this Barbera sits somewhere between a juicy Grenache and a brambly Sangiovese. Serve lightly chilled with a wood fired pizza or a generous serve of spaghetti with Ragu sauce.
