Porter's Perfection Size:MM106 recorded in 1862A late medium bittersharp cider apple. Small greenish yellow fruit flushed with dark red and flecks, white or greenish white flesh, sometimes red below the skin. Crisp and juicy. Early May blossom, not ready to drop until the third week of November. Vigorous and heavy cropping. Named after Charles Porter, nurseryman from East Lambrook in the nineteenth century. In 1907 Long Ashton received fruit where it was admired for its high quality juice.
