A long traditional hand embroidered suzani wall hanging made in Uzbekistan during the first half of the 20th century circa 1920 or 1930s. Made to hang across a door of a tent yurt and hand embroidered in silks onto a black cotton ground with floral and other traditional motifs passed down through the generations. The hanging has been finished along tge lower edge with a lovely faded magenta silk fringe. Would work very well as a hanging
