It is rare that we offer any wood that we have not personally recovered. This Ohia came out of a luthiers wood suppliers shop and we believe it to have been cut from wind fall trees after a hurricane hit the islands about fifteen to twenty years ago. It is air dried. The wood is very dense and finishes with a high polish. At one time the wood could only be used for Hawaiian royalty. The first photo is taken
