Great Britain 1870 1½d rose red Plate 3, SG51 Rhodesia and Nyasaland stamps would have originally carried MichaelGreat Britain 1870 1d rose red Plate 3, SG51. A very fine and fresh unmounted mint example, with full original gum, lettered 'TL'. Very rare to find this stamp in unmounted mint condition. Originally, the new postage rate of 1d was proposed in 1860 and 1d stamps were printed in rosy mauve. The change was, however, not approved and most of that stock was destroyed. By 1870 the 1d stamp was required and was issued in rose red. Order online, by phone +44
