From Turkey comes this full length Ottoman entari robe or coat, dating from the early 1800s. Made in a beautiful fine silk brocade which is woven with decorative stripes of pale gold and blue green coloured silk. The coat is fully lined in an off white cotton and is edged down the centre front and side splits with a wonderful cutwork lace edging. Traditionally worn over trousers and a chemise, this long coat was worn for formal occasions
