A hipper than thou band that positioned themselves as the heirs to the throne of The Stooges, Velvet Underground, Suicide etc. Big shoes to fill but the mad bastards did it! I reckon 1988s Playing With Fire is their high point. An undeniable ability to write minimal, simplistic tunes paired with an inventive use of tempo synced tremolo and echo trickery. Timeless! Nic
