2017 Bottega Viognier wine lemongrass and pickled gingerThis is a Viognier that keeps improving every year. Its the third time that I taste this vintage the last couple of years and this time it is showing its best attributes, without a doubt. The nose is clean and pure with hyper focused Meyer lemon aromas, orange blossom and a small floral contribution. The palate needs 15 minutes or so to open up but when it does, the citrus zing cuts through the front palate and transforms to lemon cream in the middle.
