universes beyond mtg doctor who commander decks reveals & release date facing alien threats Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond

The Emperor, Hell Tyrant (Yawgmoth, Thran Physician) Yawgmoth, Thran Physician is a Modern staple (there's a whole deck named after him), so the Emperor art would be a nice addition to die-hard fans of the deck

Since it never caught on in modern or vintage, this guide will mostly consider eternal formats such as commander

For each creature that dies this way, you create a 1/1 Slug creature token

The first is a triggered ability: "When this permanent enters the battlefield, target player may search their library for a card named [name], reveal it, put it into their hand, then shuffle." The second ability represented by the "partner with [name]" keyword modifies the rules for deck construction in the Commander variant and has no function outside of that variant

Thankfully, with an item card like Magic Golden Flower, players can heal up their Glimmers to keep them in the fight
