Once you name a card, that card can't be played in response

pokemon sword & shield brilliant stars booster pack Pokmon TCG Kicks Off Prerelease and the card contents are selected at random Pokmon Sword & Shield Brilliant

I love the silliness of this because you can exchange a Llanowar Elves textbox with an Ulamogs, or even better, with someones commander ability

When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost

The mechanic sometimes creates a 1/1 and is weak to common bounce effects in a Limited environment

Slagstorm is one of the best of the cheaper mass removal effects as it comes out fast enough to stop an elf or affinity deck getting to an unbeatable position yet still hits the vast majority of things you can cast for the same cost or less
