I think my dislike usually comes when the card is made harder to read just for the sake of it

Taking that ability and putting it onto your Commander or any other creature is ridiculous

It was a more subtle change, adding some more (non-game related) information on the bottom of the card, which received a black colored background

Because it provides both recursion and board growth, Smile at Death allows grindy decks to recover effortlessly after board wipes and keep pressure on opponents throughout long games

And bouncing has a lot of flexibility as a way to survive removal or blocks, adding a useful tempo element, reloading a creature with a powerful enters-the-battlefield trigger, dealing with auras and so much more
