We made a separate mini-team (Matt Cavotta, Mark Gottlieb, Brandon Bozzi, and myself) to work on designing planeswalkers to be introduced on the futureshifted sheet of Future Sight , but the versions we ended up with were a bit too robotic

Planes usually have two important parts: A main ability which can be a continuous effect, such as Tazeem in Zendikar (whose ability is that creatures can't block while this plane is active), or a triggered ability, such as Undercity Reaches from Ravnica (which allows the controller to draw a card each time one of their creatures deals combat damage to a player)

The Drafts with this set are rather balanced so if you can handle the horrific art you will end up with some great cards since there are playables at all rarities in every room you look
