Orvis Battenkill Bamboo Rod - early 8'6 3/2 5wt 8'10" Full-length and un-filed foot withFor sale here is an early three piece Orvis Battenkill 8 1 2 ft. rod. Ferrules are 16 64 and 10 64. With serial number 4201, the rod was made in 1947 by John Rosencrantz. The rod is marked Orvis Impregnated, Pat. Pend. and was beautifully restored by Orvis. It does not appear to have been fished since. The rod has very fine tips, both of which have repair wraps (shown in photographs), and I like it with both DT5 and DT4 lines.
